This Westwood master bath is truly a transformation in layout, function and beauty.
An outdated, oddly shaped bathroom not only cramps your style but also makes it hard to see the potential. Think of it as a diamond in the rough, and South Land Remodeling is here to make it sparkle and shine.
As a Los Angeles general contractor and interior designer, we partner with clients to transform an undesirable space into the dreamy sanctuary they never thought possible. We offer full-service bathroom remodeling from start to finish, meaning we can design a new layout and select finishes, while also managing everything from demolition to installation.
And, that’s exactly what we did with this Westwood bathroom renovation.
The couple who own this two-bedroom, two-bathroom L.A. condo wanted an updated master bath with an optimized layout and luxurious aesthetic. The 120-square-feet of space gave us a decent footprint to reconfigure and redesign from top to bottom. We started the design process by factoring in the homeowners’ goals, including creating a new layout and converting the tub to a large shower – all while keeping costs down.
As you can see, the new layout transformed the space so it’s more open and functional. The new marble shower – accented with a bench, toiletries niche and herringbone porcelain mosaic tile – is now a stately 25 square feet, a vast upgrade from the old, tiny shower.
“Our new master bath has brought us so much joy! We already have other projects in mind for our condo, and we will definitely be using South Land Remodeling again!”
-Marketa K., who found us via our 5-star rating on Yelp
The new vanity and closet continue the transformation. We kept the footprint of the vanity area but converted the shower/toilet (behind the door to the right of the vanity shown above) into a custom walk-in closet with marble flooring.
The white, blue and gray hues brighten the space, along with the LED mirror and mini chandelier (a $25 find on Amazon!). The vanity features ample storage and a quartz countertop, and the new sliding barn door is carved with a contemporary herringbone pattern that connects with the shower tile. Both these pieces are also bargains found at Costco. Finally, this portion of the bathroom is laid with dark hardwood flooring from Lowes.
As you can see, even when mixing high- and low-cost materials, this new bathroom is sings luxury. We at South Land Remodeling are honored to have partnered with these homeowners to bring a little more beauty and joy to their lives.
